Safetytec Lightguard: Red 4

Welcome to the future of light guards. Easy to set up, unparalleled safety
How It Works

“Cross matrix” is a unique patented technology, where each individual infrared transmitter beam within the TX column, transmits IR beams to each receiver within the RX column. This creates a cross matrix array within the safety guarded area.

This technology serves to create a better detection capability and completely eliminates any alignment problems seen in conventional lightcurtain types.

In conventional technology guards, the transmitter column must focus each transmitted beam using optical lenses, so that the beams accurately align with their corresponding receiver.

If the beams are off alignment more than 2°, then the transmitted beams will “see” the wrong receivers and the guard will “trip” to off.

Cross matrix does not have this problem because each transmitted beam is designed to “see” all the receivers and so the problem off alignment is removed completely.

Depending on the scan distance, Safetytec guards can be off alignment by as much as 30° or more!

What about Interface Control Boxes?

All Safetytec Lightguards, including the RED4 and Infrascan, are fully contained designs, incorporating all electronics within the Transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) heads.

This eliminates the need for any interface control boxes or modules!

The guards are all supplied complete with cables ready for termination to the machine. The cables are fitted with standard plug fit connectors
